Yvette is the Labour MP for Normanton, Pontefract and Castleford and Labour’s Former Shadow Home Secretary.
She was previously Labour’s Shadow Foreign Secretary (2010-2011), Secretary of State for the Department for Work and Pensions (2009-2010) and Chief Secretary to the Treasury (2008-2009).
Yvette is married to Ed Balls MP. They live in Castleford with their three children.
