Launched in January 2021, Speakers for Schools partnered with Penguin to deliver a series of Virtual Penguin Talks, with authors streamed live to thousands of young people at school and at home across the UK.
Penguin Talks is a programme of free, creative talks for young people, giving them the opportunity to both hear from, and directly question, a world-renowned thinker, writer or influential figure from our family of authors.
The aim of Penguin Talks is to help equip young people for the future by introducing a new generation of readers to new ideas and perspectives, and broadening their understanding of issues which speakers feel to be particularly prevalent for this generation.

PAST PENGUIN TALKS & TEACHING RESOURCES
Teaching resources for Key Stages 3-5 have been created for each talk and cover topics across the Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) curriculum. All resources are free to download and link directly to the PSHE Association Programme of Study for PSHE education, to support your teaching of Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education.
The resources include clips of the talks, lesson plans, lesson slides and activity sheets, with challenge questions for every activity.
Further talks and resources are released throughout the school year.
