Our new partnership with the Sir James Knott Trust
We are delighted to share that we have successfully secured £5000 of funding from the Sir James Knott Trust in their most recent round of awards.
In the past year, the Sir James Knott Trust have contributed more than £2.3m to hundreds of local community groups and charitable organisations to help improve the quality of life for those most in need across key communities in this part of the country.
These include Tyne and Wear, Northumberland, County Durham and Hartlepool, with the Trust stating that, “our aim is to help improve the conditions of people living and working in the North East of England.”
This focus on local areas of deprivation very much aligns with our own mission. As a UK-wide youth charity, we believe that high quality work experience should be a universal right for every young person, regardless of their starting point in life or geographical location.
The programme will deliver work experience for
disadvantaged young people in North East England
The £5000 grant will be match funded by Speakers for Schools and will help the Trust extend their reach and deliver valuable work experience programmes in high-need schools.
Our successful & established work experience programme provides the most disadvantaged young people with high quality and valuable work experience opportunities, which in turn provide access to further education and employment.
This programme will include both virtual and face-to-face multiday work experience opportunities, which allows us to reach as many young people as possible.
Thanks again to the Sir James Knott Trust for their invaluable support and for joining our growing community of charitable trusts and foundations that have partnered with us to transform the lives and prospects of less fortunate young people.
