Join Mid Cheshire Hospitals Foundation Trust, Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust,

Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

in a 3-day virtual work experience from 2nd – 4th July 2024.

During this virtual placement you will have the opportunity to investigate the variety of Allied Health Professional roles available,

work with professionals to expand your knowledge and develop your skills and understanding of working in an NHS Trust.

 

Each day will run from 10 am until 2pm (there will be set comfort breaks throughout the day). 

Participation in the full three days is compulsory. This session is ideal for anyone interested in science, medicine, or

healthcare.

 

Throughout the three days you will learn about Allied Health Professional roles and will be able to ask professionals

questions about their roles.

 

In this session we will cover the following:

  • Allied Health Professional roles - this may include: physiotherapists, dietitians, speech and language therapists, radiography
  • The patient journey linked to AHP roles
  • Key skills needed for the NHS
  • Develop team and communication skills
  • Get an understanding of next steps, to start your career within the NHS

Over the course of the 3 days you will get involved in - taking part in quizzes, creating word clouds, creating presentations, developing posters, working in groups and presenting and have the opportunity to ask questions. We want you to really benefit from this virtual experience so would like every student to have their camera on and participate in all activities.

 

You will be expected to work in a team with your peers and develop communication and team working skills which are essential for the NHS.
