Join Mid Cheshire Hospitals Foundation Trust, Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust,

Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

in a 3-day virtual work experience from 25th – 27th February 2025.

During this virtual placement you will have the opportunity to investigate the variety of Allied Health Professional roles available,

work with professionals to expand your knowledge and develop your skills and understanding of working in an NHS Trust.

 

Each day will run from 10 am until 2pm (there will be set comfort breaks throughout the day). 

Participation in the full three days is compulsory. This session is ideal for anyone interested in science, medicine, or

healthcare.

 

Throughout the three days you will learn about Allied Health Professional roles and will be able to ask professionals

questions about their roles.

 

In this session you will cover the following:

  • Allied Health Professional roles - this may include: physiotherapists, dietitians, speech and language therapists, radiography
  • The patient journey linked to AHP roles
  • Key skills needed for the NHS
  • Develop team and communication skills
  • Get an understanding of next steps, to start your career within the NHS


Across the 3 days you will be: creating word clouds, asking questions, creating presentations, taking part in quizzes, developing posters, working in groups and presenting. We want you to really benefit from this virtual experience so would like every student to have their camera on and participate in all activities.

 

You will be expected to work in a team with your peers and develop communication and team working skills which are essential for the NHS.
