
David Gittleson
David Gittleson is the leader of EY’s Advisory practice across Europe, Middle East, India and Africa. The business has revenues of around $3bn and 25,000 people who help corporates and governments address the competitive, social, regulatory and disruptive forces impacting them. David has a key role leading the development of EY’s digital, analytics and cyber capabilities. He is also a trustee of the EY Foundation, a charity that works directly with disadvantaged young people, employers and social entrepreneurs to create and support routes into education, employment and enterprise.
David was born in Sheffield and attended a local comprehensive school before studying mathematics at Oxford University. He joined Coopers & Lybrand on a graduate programme, qualifying as a chartered accountant. He spent 15 years at PwC and IBM before joining EY in 2004. He has specialised in the financial services industry and building international consulting practices.
