Manda Levin
Manda started out at BBC Drama, script editing CUTTING IT by Debbie Horsfield and the BAFTA-winning CHARLES II before producing Billy Ivory’s A THING CALLED LOVE. She joined Kudos as Head of Development for Film where she worked on David Cronenberg’s EASTERN PROMISES, Simon Beaufoy’s MISS PETTIGREW LIVES FOR A DAY and SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN, and Abi Morgan’s drama about the Boxing Day Tsunami.
Returning to the BBC Manda was Creative Director of in-house Drama Production, where she oversaw what was the largest drama development slate in the UK (including Luther, Five Daughters, The Fades, Criminal Justice, Great Expectations), and Executive Produced Debbie Horsfield’s ALL THE SMALL THINGS. Ricocheting back to Kudos she was an Executive Producer on three series of Sky Atlantic’s bilingual drama THE TUNNEL, Abi Morgan’s RIVER For BBC One and Netflix, THE BOY WITH THE TOPKNOT for BBC Two and the four part adaptation of literary thriller APPLE TREE YARD starring Emily Watson.
She then returned to the BBC to work with the commissioning team at BBC Drama with a particular eye on strategy, as Senior Commissioning Editor for Development.
At the moment Manda works in development and production for the UK arm of A24 Films, on shows including an adaptation of Booker prize winning SHUGGIE BAIN. She also works at Netflix, looking after a range of UK dramas for the streamer.
In her spare time she has also recently worked as a volunteer counsellor for the bereavement charity Cruse, and for the shared reading charity, The Reader.
