Richard Lawson

Richard currently works on the Matt Chorley, Adrian Chiles, Naga Munchetty and Nicky Campbell programmes on BBC Radio 5 Live. Prior to this, he led the politics coverage on the Emma Barnett show, where he created agenda-setting interviews with national politicians.

Away from Westminster, he has a keen interest in American politics, and he has produced live programmes from across the US about the Trump and Obama campaigns. Before 5 Live, he worked at the BBC World Service, field-producing programmes from Islamabad, Tokyo, Dublin and Sofia. In 2011, he was a journalism fellow at the Reuters Institute at Oxford University.
